Back to School: TAKE ONE

Setting up the room; TAKE 1
Here we are...There is so much to do and it's so HOT!!!!  There's my old SMARTBOARD. What's happening to my room???
My old Smart Board computer in pieces parts

There is no longer a whiteboard or bulletin board
The whiteboard needs to go away. Tears shed 0 vs. Heart-rate 150 mph.  The room still needs to lose the whiteboard, the walls need to be sanded, and painted, YIKES!!!!!

New things=creating new look

Calendar Corner is in the works...September books are displayed.

Day One is DONE
I initially thought the classroom space looked welcoming but it needed more appeal.

Something to Crow About

We have been learning what it means to be "thankful" this month.  The students have been learning how the Pilgrim children lived.  They have also been creating a Venn Diagram comparing their lives to the lives of the Pilgrim children. Thinking of the harvest and all the hard work the Pilgrims endured...I've brought out the BREAK BOX so that we can "take a break" when we need it. This box is filled with calming gadgets, that are quiet and allow kids to reflect and relax when our workload gets heavy.
