Read Aloud-Launching our new behavior code
Yesterday, we read the story My Mouth is a Volcano. After reading the story, we discussed all the ways the young boy erupted and interrupted his friends and family.  We also talked about ways to "be a friend" and listen.
An erupting volcano
Every child was given 3 erupting volcanoes.  If a child erupts, interrupts, and displays disrespectful behavior they take off a volcano.  Each child has the chance to earn the volcano back by doing a random act of kindness or showing more respectful behavior.  If a child has 3 volcanoes at the end of the day, the child receives prize box.
